With the sound of a horn and roaring engines, participants of the gala ride from the ranks of famous personalities, racers and stuntmen arrived in Hall F. Crowds of visitors who came to the opening ceremony of MOTOSALON were waiting at the stage for the parade of motorcycles. The moderator Standa Berkovec welcomed everyone from the stage, and invited representatives of the organizers and VIP guests to join him.

"I am truly happy that we have four full halls, and that all the brands you can get on the Czech market are present here. I believe that over the four coming days you will enjoy a lot of fun and adrenaline here," expressed his wishes to the audience Mr. Jan Kubata, CEO of BVV Trade Fairs Brno. The Mayor of the Statutory City of Brno, MS. Markéta Vaňková, would not hide her joy at the fact that the expo can take place without any restrictions, as its last edition took place at the beginning of the covid lockdown. "I am even happier that today we are here in full glory, in full numbers, and I firmly believe that we will never have to deal with what we dealt with in 2020, and that we will always be able to offer you the best of what the motorcycling world not only in the Czech Republic has to offer," she said.

The expo is supported not only by the city, but also by the South Moravian Region, which runs its own stand with gourmet specialties.  The regional governor, Mr. Jan Grolich, personally greeted the attendees: "This is the first opportunity for me to be at Motosalon and I have to say that the atmosphere is absolutely amazing. When I was offered to ride a motorbike here, I was feeling like I was a little boy again. And I think that's what this expo is all about for you visitors - to make you feel like little boys again and make your dreams come true."

Václav Bernard, Deputy Minister of Transport of the Czech Republic, revealed that he has been an avid motorcyclist since he was 10 years old: "I can empathise with what you're experiencing right now, when you roam around the stands with lots of beautiful motorbikes and accessories. I would like to wish that every time you get behind the handlebars of your bike, you experience that incredible feeling of connection between the rider and the machine. But above all, I wish you to always get back home safe and healthy to your families and loved ones." Additional guests, such as the First Deputy President of the Police of the Czech Republic Tomáš Lerch, the Director of the Regional Directorate of the Police of the Czech Republic Leoš Tržil and the Head of the BESIP Department Tomáš Neřold, also emphasised the need for safe driving.

Petr Krajča, head of the motorcycle section of the Association of Car Importers, also wished the audience a good season. Among the guests there were also representatives of the Roman Catholic Church, parish priests Romuald Štěpán Rob and Pavel Lazárek, who blessed the new motorcycling season.

The guests, who were also joined by a member of the Brno City Council Kateřina Jarošová, then walked the route through the halls, where they admired historic motorcycles restored from old wrecks, as well as the legendary Czech Jawa brand, and also dropped by the stands of Kawasaki, Honda, Ducati, Harley Davidson, Indian Motorcycles and BMW.
